Your Delivery Starting Point

With Just Eat you will start your shift from a predetermined point in the city. The starting point is selected by our coordinators based on your home address but always in line with operational needs.

Starting from hub (private sharing) or remote: what does it mean?

In addition to being able to start from the assigned starting point (remote start), in some Italian cities (currently only in Milan and Rome) riders also have the option to use one of our company electric scooters located at a dedicated hub (private sharing) and from there start and finish their shift. Each of the options has its specific advantages.

There are collection points distributed throughout the city where you'll find company scooters.

Management: You collect and return the scooter at these specific points via a dedicated sharing system.

Start of shift: The shift must start and finish at the collection point to allow for vehicle management and charging.

How can I find out if my city has a hub or is remote?

The easiest way to find out if your city has a hub or only offers remote options is to check the types of vehicle proposed at the time of registration. If you are asked to use a personal vehicle, it means that the city only has a remote option (or that, despite having a Hub, there are no available spots as a hub courier at that time). If instead you can choose whether to use a personal vehicle or a company one, it means that the city offers both options. If you have doubts or questions, the specialists from our recruitment team will be happy to assist you.

Remote Start (Own Vehicle)

This method is for those who will use their own vehicle for deliveries.

How it works: You start your shift from a predetermined area of the city directly with your vehicle.

Permitted vehicles: Your bicycle, e-bike, scooter or car.

Advantages: You don't have to go to a collection point; at the end of your shift you are already free to head home.

Reimbursements: You receive a mileage allowance (e.g. €0.30/km for car, €0.15/km for scooter, €0.06/km for bike).

In summary: what changes for the rider?

The main difference is "company sharing vehicle" vs "own vehicle".

If you choose sharing, your starting point is tied to the scooter collection points (NO expense reimbursement);

If you choose your own vehicle, you start from a general area and you manage the vehicle yourself, receiving expense reimbursements.
